A small wood pellet mill is designed for small-scale production because it is compact, uses little electricity, requires little land, and is easy to operate and maintain. Output is relatively low, so starters usually use it to make pellets for home use.

The flat die wood sawdust pellet mill is a small-size pellet mill; its structure is simple, and the motor and reducer drive the main shaft, while the rollers rotate with it and press the material into the flat die holes to compress it into wood pellets.

Because it is a simple operation, setup is easy; you only need to connect the electrical panel and start the machine to produce pellets.

Raw material is fed into the flat die pellet mill from the top of the machine, usually manually via the chute or using a screw conveyor to feed it into the chute.

To make good-quality pellets, raw material quality is very important; the flat die pellet mill requires raw material moisture of 12-15% and a size of around 5mm.
