Wood pellets are a biomass fuel and a clean energy source that is increasingly popular in developed and developing countries for boilers, home heating, furnaces, and power plants. Because the pelletizing process compresses wood, pellets have higher density and heating value than wood, making them easier to transport. Most importantly, burning wood pellets produces far fewer pollutant emissions than burning wood directly. Our wood pellet machine is a horizontal, ring-die pellet machine designed to make wood pellets from wood logs, tree branches, timber, tree roots, wood chips, wood shavings, sawdust, waste wood, wood residues, and other biomass materials.

Before putting the wood material into our wood pellet machine, you first need to reduce the size to about 5mm and the moisture to 12-15%. If the size is too large, it won't fit into the pellet machine, and if the moisture is too high or too low, it will affect the density, hardness, and quality of the final wood pellets. That is why controlling the raw material size and moisture before pelletizing is important. If you control the wood moisture and size as required, this wood pellet making machine can produce pellets with diameters of 6 mm, 8mm, 10mm, or 12 mm. The cutter can adjust the length, so the Oubyod pellet machine can produce wood pellets that meet DIN plus A+ standards.

Our ring-die wood pellet making machine includes a base frame, gearbox, pelletizing chamber, cutter, force feeder, top feeder auger, and matrix lifter.

Raw material enters the pellet machine through the auger; the adjustable feed speed lets you control the feed rate. The material then goes to the feeder, where the rotating auger presses it into the pelletizing chamber. With this force feeder, the material cannot block the ring die.

Inside the pelletizing chamber, a hollow shaft, main shaft, rollers, and ring die form the ring-die rotating type of our pellet-making machine, where rollers press wood material into the ring die holes to form pellets.

In addition to the ring die, the cutter cuts the pellets as they exit the ring die holes; the final pellet length is adjustable.

The motor and gearbox make up the transmission system for this pellet machine; the large and small gears reduce the ring die rotation speed to 150 rpm, greatly improving stability.

On the back of the main shaft, grease nozzles inject grease into the main shaft bearings and roller bearings. Limit switches and safety pins also protect the main shaft and hollow shaft from overload.
