A biomass briquette machine produces briquettes or charcoal from sawdust, wood shavings, wood chips, tree branches, waste wood, tree bark, coconut shells, bamboo, bagasse, or other biomass materials. It turns this soft material into high-density, hard briquettes that are easy to transport and have a higher heating value; if the briquettes are charcoal, the final charcoal is good fuel for cooking, BBQ, and heating.

The biomass briquette machine consists of a machine frame, motor, feeding tank, main shaft, screw propeller, heating coil, forming cylinder, thermocouple, and bearings.

1. The feeding tank feeds and stores raw material for the charcoal briquette machine.

2. The motor is the main power source for the charcoal briquette machine; the motor shaft and main shaft connect via a V-belt and belt pulley.

3. The main shaft connects to the screw propeller, a key part of the charcoal briquette machine. It presses the sawdust into a cylinder. Heating coils surround the forming cylinders. During operation, the heating coils heat the sawdust inside the forming cylinder. Finally, the machine compresses the sawdust, then discharges it.

4. The inner shape of the forming cylinder determines the final briquette shape; we offer square, hexagonal, round, and other shapes.

5. The diameter of the forming cylinder and screw propeller determines the diameter of the final briquettes; 50mm, 70mm, and 80mm are most popular.

6. The final briquettes are high density, usually around 1100-1400kg/m³

7. Carbonizing the briquettes produces charcoal; charcoal briquettes are good fuel for BBQ.

• The electric panel controls start, stop, and overheat protection; it also shows the heating coil temperature and lets you set the temperature.

• Feed raw material size 3-5 mm; if it is larger, use a crusher or hammer mill to grind it to 3-5 mm.

• Feed material moisture is 8-12%; if it is higher, use the dryer to reduce it.
