2. Drum wood chipper introduction 

BX series drum wood chipper chips wood logs, tree branches, waste wood, wood residues, woodcuts, and bamboo into 2-3 cm wood chips or bamboo chips. This chipper also shreds EFB into 10-50 mm EFB fiber.

This machine is commonly used in manufacturing, wood pellet production, and paper production. A drum wood chipper consists of a feeding conveyor, feeding roller, knife roller, blades, screen, motor, frame, hydraulic system, and discharge conveyor.

1. The feeding conveyor helps make wood feeding easier. Operators can load it manually or with a timber grab loader, placing wood logs, waste wood, bamboo, and tree branches on the conveyor. The conveyor is installed horizontally on the ground and can send wood to the wood chipper's feeding inlet

2. The feeding rollers are installed at the feeding inlet; it has two layers, and the lower layer is stable. In contrast, the upper layer moves via the hydraulic system to adjust feeding capacity. When wood comes from the conveyor, the roller teeth bite the wood; as the feeding rollers rotate, the wood feeds into the drum chipper, then to the knife roller.

3. The knife roller is in the center of the wood chipper. It rotates together with the main motor. The knife roller has blades, and the chipper frame has a stationary blade. When wood reaches the knife rollers, the rotary blades rotate; when a rotary blade meets the stationary blade, it cuts the wood into chips.

4. The hydraulic oil pump is equipped with the feeding rollers; thus, it can raise the feeding chute upper plate a bit to let bigger-diameter wood enter the wood chipper more easily, and then the chute upper plate falls slowly to protect the feeding rollers.

5. The wood chips will fall to the screen, and through the holes, the chips go to the discharge conveyor and are sent away.

Our drum wood chipper has a base frame, so you don't need to build a foundation during installation.

The drum wood chipper handles various raw materials, including wood logs, wood chips, tree branches, waste wood, wood residues, wood material, bamboo, EFB, and building templates.

The drum wood chipper is equipped with an electric panel; from this panel, you can start and stop the main motor, feeding roller motor, feeding conveyor motor, discharge conveyor motor, and hydraulic system motor.
