The 500kg/h sawdust pellet press machine makes wood pellets from sawdust, producing 500kg/h of finished pellets. We use a ring die wood pellet press machine in this small wood sawdust pellet production line because it offers several advantages: high stability and efficiency, easy, low-cost maintenance, and high-hardness, high-density pellets. • Because the wood sawdust is fine enough to feed directly into a ring die pellet mill, you don't need a wood crusher or hammer mill in a 500kg/h small wood sawdust pellet press machine.

• Consider the sawdust moisture requirement before feeding it into the ring die pellet mill; whether you need a sawdust dryer depends on your sawdust's initial moisture. If your sawdust moisture is <17%, you don't need a sawdust dryer; if it's >17%, you need one before the ring die pellet mill.

For 500kg/h capacity, the sawdust dryer is small; we can use a pipe dryer. Compared with a rotary drum dryer, a pipe dryer costs less, is easier to maintain, and takes up less space.

The pipe dryer uses hot air to evaporate water from the sawdust; hot air and sawdust move through the pipe together, and the water evaporates during this process, producing dried sawdust for a small wood sawdust pellet production line.

• After drying the sawdust, you get dried sawdust as raw material; the next step is to make pellets. 

We use a screw conveyor to feed sawdust into a ring die pellet mill to make pellets.

The screw conveyor is a closed structure; when sawdust moves through the screw conveyor, the dust stays inside the conveyor, reducing dust pollution and keeping your factory clean.

• Pellets from the pellet press are about 80°C, so they need cooling; we have two options.

Solution A: Cool the pellets with machinery. We have a pellet cooler; after cooling, use a pellet packing machine to bag them.

Solution B: Cooling by nature. Since 500kg/h is a small output, you can store the pellets on the ground and cool them naturally, saving money on machine investment. The flat die wood pellet press is designed for small-scale wood pellet production, especially for beginners investing in wood pellet production, producing small quantities for home use, or trial-testing raw materials to make pellets.

When testing the new flat die pellet machine, fully grind the material for 1 hour before use. Only then can the material be discharged smoothly and the particle surface remain smooth. If you do not follow this operation, the mold may not be discharged during use, and the machine may jam. After the first test run, run the material produced in the first test run through the machine before shutting down and starting up each time to prevent machine blockage and extend the machine's service life.

How to operate the air dryer?

1. After the installation is complete, turn on the fan and check the direction of rotation of the fan and whether the suction force of the feeding port is normal.

2. Check the joints of each flange to see if there is any air leakage.

3. Bundle a cloth bag with open ends at the unloading port of the separator.

4. Add the material to be dried at the feeding port, and large particles must be screened out before drying, which is beneficial for increasing the drying speed.

5. Put fuel into the furnace to ignite, turn on the fan, and when the temperature at the outlet of the wind reaches 150°C, start cutting and drying.

6. Clear the bulk material in the slag discharge port in time to facilitate feeding.
