Why Does The Ring Die Of The Granulator Break?

Jun 22, 2021

As an important part of the granulator, the ring die is divided into high-quality alloy steel and high-chromium stainless steel. It is made by forging, cutting, drilling, heat treatment and other processes. Through strict production management and a series of technical improvements, Zhengzhou Fanda Machinery has achieved a high level of product quality, especially in terms of ring die hardness, die hole uniformity, and die hole finish. But why such high-quality accessories may break during use.

Reasons for mold rupture:

1. The positioning key of the ring mold is worn too much (the positioning key of the ring mold has obvious wear). At this stage, many users are afraid of trouble. Engineers often find that the customer's production site is a mold that is used to remove the mold, which is wrong. , The mold should be removed at regular intervals (7-10 days) to check the wear and tear, and find the problem to be eliminated in time.

2. Ring die liner wear is too large (if there is obvious wear on the contact surface between the inner wall of the ring die and the liner ring, the liner should be replaced in time).

3. The ring die is forcibly squeezed in by hard objects during operation (such as metal objects such as bearing balls falling in the granulator chamber)

4. The adjustment of the gap between the pressure roller and the ring die is too small

5. The clamping surface of the ring die is severely worn, and the clamp is not tight or the clamp is not in the bottom, which will cause damage.
