How do I replace the screen on a wood sawdust machine?

The main body of the wood shredder is mainly composed of the frame, the rotor disc, the hammer, the screen, the feeding support plate, and other components, and the wood shredder screen has the function of screening and filtering the material during the whole work process, and at the same time guarantees the crushing of the hammer flakes. The gap size is also a part of the wood shredder that wears out quickly. Customers need to replace this part after a certain period of use to ensure high-yield operation.

The replacement of the wood shredder screen is actually very simple; it only takes 3 to 5 minutes to complete:

1. First, spread the screen of the wood shredder on the lower mesh circle, and then use the tight mesh circle to stretch the mesh on the lower mesh circle. Be careful not to stretch the mesh too tightly; stretch it flat.

2. Combine the lower-pressing mesh circle with the special screen for grading screening and press it onto the upper-pressing mesh circle with bolts. Ensure the bolts are symmetrical and evenly tightened.

3. Lock and reinforce the screen body.

4. Rotate the wood shredder rotor to check the gap between the blade and the screen to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Several common faults of the sawdust crusher and their solutions:

1. The motor heats up, the fuse blows, and the motor smokes.

This happens for two reasons:

a. Feeding is too much; the crushing chamber is blocked, and the motor is overloaded. At this time, stop feeding and wait for the equipment to crush the undischarged materials before continuing to feed.

b. The screen mesh is blocked,d and the crushed materials cannot be discharged. Stop the power decisively, open the casing, and clean the screen before continuing work.

2. The grinder will vibrate when processing materials. If the vibration is only very slight, this is normal. If the vibration is severe, it can cause the equipment to lose balance, usually because of uneven hammer wear or an unbalanced rotor. You may only need to replace the hammer in time or add a counterweight. Still, if it is not the hammer, the screws may be loose. Check the machine base fixing bolts and tighten the nuts.

3. The output is reduced. This situation is usually due to the material and the machine itself. If the material's moisture content is too high, it will affect crushing performance and reduce output; for the sawdust grinder itself, only some vulnerable parts wear out, and timely repair or replacement of worn parts is fine.
