Working principle :

A horizontal carbonization furnace consists of a carbonization furnace body, furnace cover, inner tank, material cage, combustible gas return pipe, exhaust pipe, flue gas dust removal device, tank lifting device, and thermometer. The furnace uses the principle of anaerobic dry distillation to remove volatile substances from the biomass and achieve biomass carbonization.
    The carbonization process has four steps: charging and sealing the furnace, preheating and drying, anaerobic carbonization, and cooling the carbon. A charging and sealing furnace puts the biomass core rods, shells, and other materials into the cage. The cage is divided into two or three layers. Then it moves into the inner tank, covers it, locks the buckle, and lifts the charging tank into the furnace.
    Preheat and dry in the furnace with wood and other fuel heating, slowly heating from room temperature to 220-250; the processing time is 1.2-2.0 hours (according to the material moisture content, density, and particle size, the specific heating time is determined), and discharge the material moisture and the air in the tank. Perform anaerobic carbonization at the furnace temperature until weak yellow smoke appears in the smoke pipe (hydrogen and other volatile substances are discharged); this marks the beginning of carbonization. Recover the combustible gas into the furnace for ignition, adjust the intake air, and maintain the tank temperature at 300-450 ℃ for 2.0-3.5 hours d. Determine the specific temperature and carbonization time based on the carbonized material density, particle size, and carbonization depth requirements
    When the furnace naturally flame-out, i .e., at the end of carbonization, cool the carbon out of the furnace into the cooling area by natural cooling or spray-water cooling until the inner tank temperature drops below 50 ℃, then open the cover and remove the charcoal. The total furnace temperature and carbonization time are 3.5-5.5 hours. It can complete 3-6 furnace cycles in 24 hours.
