The water drop hammer mill is composed of an electric motor, coupling, bearing, rotor, hinge pin, hammers, sieve plate, and base frame. The raw material is fed into the grinding chamber by a feeding conveyor, sometimes on top of the hammer mill, we equip a rotary feeder to get constant feeding speed, in the pellet line we also put a magnet on the rotary feeder to move the iron. In the grinding chamber the raw material is bated by the high-speed rotating hammers, then hit the sieve plate and bounce back. The beating and hitting will be continuous with the high-speed rotation of the rotor. The raw material will be ground by the impact force from hammers and friction force from the sieve plate. When the raw material size is smaller than the holes on the sieve it will be discharged by the attraction of the blower. Usually, this hammer mill works together with the blower, cyclone, airlock, and dust collector, the blower provides attraction to move the final crushed material, the cyclone collects the crushed material, the airlock, and dust collector is to control dust at the end of the cyclone.
