Small Animal Feed Production Line

A small animal feed production line is designed to produce feed pellets from grass, alfalfa, corn, wheat, soybean, and other ingredients for animals, poultry, and livestock.

An 800-1000kg/h Small animal feed production line includes the grinding part, mixing part, pelletizing part, and pellet cooling part. Powder material goes to the mixing part from the grinding part by pipes, from the mixing part a conveyor sends it to the pelletizing part, and from the pelletizing part, the elevator sends feed pellets to the cooling part.

1. The grinding part uses a grinder to turn the raw materials into powder.

The grinder we use is a hammer mill, which can grind corn, grass, and alfalfa into mesh powders. This machine is made up of a machine base, feeding chute, motor, V-belt and belt pulley, rotor, hammers, mesh screen, and blower.

The motor, v-belt, and belt pulley are the transmission systems for this grinder, the v-belt connects the motor and rotor together by belt pulley, and when the motor is turned on the rotor starts running at 2980rpm.

The hammers are installed on the rotor, with the rotating of the rotor the hammers rotate together inside the grinding chamber when the material is fed into the grinder from the feeding chute, the flying hammers bite the raw material to grind them until the material becomes powder and size smaller than the holes on screen, the blower provides wind suction to the grinder to discharge the powders.

2. The mixing part is designed to mix powder from different kinds of raw materials together. In an 800-1000kg/h feed production plant, we use a single-shaft ribbon mixer.

Single shaft mixing machine is an efficient and versatile mixing machine for mixing dry granules & powders homogeneity. One of the main applications of ribbon mixers is mixing grain powder with other nutrients in the feed pellet plant. During the mixing process, you can add other liquids to the grain powder, making the feed pellets more nutritional. The feed ribbon mixer is well suited for the pre-processing of feed mixture for making aquaculture, poultry, and fish feed pellets. The ribbon mixer can also be used for mixing chemical products, compound fertilizers, additives, health care products, etc.

The ribbon mixer consists of transmission parts, ribbon agitators, and a U-shaped cylinder. In the direction of rotation, the outer ribbon pushes materials from the left end to the right end, while the inner ribbon pushes materials from the right end to the left end. Ribbon wind with different angle directions carries the materials flowing in different directions. Through continuous convective circulation, the materials are sheared and mixed thoroughly and quickly.

3. The pelletizing part is where to make feed pellets from the mixed powders.

The pellet mill in this 800-1000kg/h feed production plant is a ring die type pellet-making machine, which is equipped with an auger to feed powders, and a pellet cutter to adjust the length of pellets.

This ring dies type pellet mill also can equip a conditioner to cure the powders with hot steam before making pellets because after curing the raw material to make pellets, the feed is easier to digest by animals. This conditioner is optional, clients can decide to equip it or not based on what kind of pellets they want to produce.

When a ring dies type pellet-making machine the rollers are rotated with the main shaft to press the powders into holes of the ring die to make feed pellets.

The diameter of the holes on the ring die decides the diameter of the pellets. The cutter on the pellet-making machine cuts the pellets to decide the length of feed. On this cutter, you can change the length of the adjusting device on the cutter.

4. The last part is cooling down the pellets in a pellet cooler, generally, under the pellet cooler, we put a pellet sieving machine to move dust and powder from pellets.
