EFB pellet mill machine is a type of ring-die pellet mill. It is an evolution of the ring-die pellet mill. Because the feeding structure is vertical, we call it a vertical ring-die pellet mill machine.

Raw material is fed from the top of the vertical biomass pellet mill machine and falls by gravity directly into the pelletizing chamber. Inside the pelletizing chamber, the roller rotates with the main shaft. At the same time, the ring die remains stable; the rotating roller and centrifugal force push the raw material into the ring die holes. Under the pressure from the running roller, the raw material is compressed into pellets.

Our vertical biomass pellet mill can produce high-quality wood pellets from sawdust, wood shavings, wood chips, wood logs, tree branches, and waste wood. Thanks to its vertical structure, it offers more advantages for soft, low-bulk-density materials than horizontal ring die and flat die pellet mills.

With a horizontal ring die pellet mill, the material can easily block the force feeder; with a flat die pellet mill, efficiency is low. Hence, a suitable compression ratio for the raw material is essential. The compression ratio is determined by the effective compression length of the ring die hole; this length controls the raw material's compression time in the hole, which affects the hardness, color, and quality of the final pellets.
