Why Are The Particles Produced By The Wood Pellet Machine Cracked?
Jan 07, 2022
Under what circumstances will the sawdust pellet machine have particle cracks?
The wood pellets are bent and have many cracks on one side. This phenomenon is usually caused when the wood pellets leave the ring die. In production, when the cutter position is adjusted far away from the surface of the ring die and the knife edge is blunt, the particles are easily broken or torn by the cutter instead of being cut when they are extruded from the die hole. At this time, some wood pellets are bent. There are many cracks on one side and the other side. This kind of wood pellets will often break from these cracks when entering the cooler for cooling or transportation, resulting in too many wood pellets or too short pellets.
The horizontal crack traverses the entire wood pellet, which is somewhat similar to the phenomenon in Case 1. The crack occurs in the cross-section of the wood pellet, but the pellet is not bent. This can happen when prilling fluffy wood chips that contain more fiber. This kind of wood pellets is often when the wood pellets are squeezed into the pelletizing holes of the ring die. Because they contain fibers longer than the aperture, when the pellets are extruded, the pellets will have transverse cracks on the cross-section due to the expansion of the fibers. , Resulting in the appearance of fir-bark-like sawdust particles. Sawdust particles produce vertical cracks. During the production process, some customers cannot evenly dry the sawdust due to the selected type of dryer, resulting in uneven moisture content in the raw wood chips. The effect of the weight and the elasticity of the raw material itself bounced away, resulting in vertical cracks.
The sawdust particles generate radiation cracks from a source point. The main reason for this situation is that the sawdust contains relatively large sawdust. The raw materials with the same degree of fiber will squeeze and fuse each other when they are pelletized. If there are larger fibers, the interaction between the fibers will be affected. It is not as easy to soften as other finer materials, and when it is cooled, due to the different softening degrees, the difference in shrinkage results in radiation cracks.
